Wonderful!

Over the past few weeks I have been listening to the bible on CD. It is an excellent way to fully absorb the bible and truly understand how the stories and concepts in the old testament lead up to the comming of Christ. For one thing, by listening to another person read alows me to recognize small details that I pass over quickly by reading. For example as David passes through the Mt. of Olives, the emotions David expresses are similar to Jesus' emotions as he prays in Garden on Gethsemane Another powerful prophesy from Genesis occurs as Judah is described as a peaceful lion. The land of Judah was latter the place where Jesus walked and lived. Powerful. Also...as a person listens to the bible while working, running, walking from place to place, shopping etc. the stories seem as if they are actually occuring in present time!! Wonderful and inspiring. I encourage anywho reads this blog to listen to the bible in context and in the stories that are told.
